Today:

- came to work

- it’s cold as heck outside

- hathead

- got staffed on a new deal in my most hated industry

+/- the partner on new deal is one of most feared partners in Group; however, she seems to like me and continues to request me on new deals

+ joked around with staffing partner (while he was staffing me) about The Nuck’s employer finding new ways to screw her, in respect of my London trip

+ he used the word “boondoggle” in reference to his scheme to get me a free trip to send time with her

+ he referred to her as my fiancee

+ I think this means I am officially Out in my Group

FINE, Firm. You win this round. But if I miss the UNC game tomorrow, I’m going to take some kind of retributive action.

Inspired by Wordpress’ seriously clever use of Loren Brichter’s new Tweetie options, we’re launching our own Tweetie and Twitterrific compatible API. This Twitter-like API should make it easy for a lot of existing Twitter clients to start supporting Tumblr.

The really cool thing - because our following models follow a lot of the same principles, we’ve been able to take advantage of a ton of native features:

Retweeting = Reblogging

Replying = Reblogging w/ commentary

Favoriting = Liking

Conversations = Reblogs

To try out Tumblr in Tweetie 2, tap “Accounts” → “+” → enter your username and password → tap the gear icon → enter “http://tumblr.com/” in both fields.

For Twitterrific, tap ”Sources” → “Edit” → “Add a New Account” → enter your username and password → tap ”Advanced” → set “Base URL” to “http://tumblr.com/” and disable “SSL”.

This works AMAZINGLY. you guys should try it out.
